I made it through the week

And I only cried once.

There’s a pencil on my desk with lines from A Love Song for J. Alfred Prufrock on it.

In a minute there is time
For decisions and revisions
which a minute will reverse.

This is the first thing I saw when I sat down to work today. It made me think of my sister because this is her favorite poem. Because she loves it so much it has become one of mine. Here’s a link to the full poem if you’re interested. These lines are so very applicable to where we are right now. They stuck with me all day.

All we can ever do is make the best decision we can with the information we have at the time. Right? It’s reassuring and terrifying at the same time. What will we know tomorrow that would have changed what we did today? But we can only do the best that we can do.

I don’t know anymore. If I were wearing real pants anymore maybe I’d wear my trousers rolled.
