I was exhausted yesterday and missed posting. I slept 11 hours Friday night, so my Fitbit tells me, but it sure didn’t feel like it. I managed to walk the dog a couple times, get on the treadmill, vacuum and clean up around the house. I’m pretty sure I napped, though I’m having a hard time remembering any details. After dinner we watched a couple movies, and then I just crawled in bed.
Today I got to see people virtually. We played DnD with friends for a few hours with Google Hangouts, and then I got read to my niece and nephews over Zoom. I’m reading them The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary one chapter at a time. It gives us all something to look forward to, I think. They really are just the absolute best.
I skipped the treadmill today for a nap. I’m still feeling tired and run down, so I’m trying to rest and be active. It’s a balancing act. But connecting with friends and family today made me feel lighter than I have since I decided to self isolate.
Tomorrow is Monday, and M and I go back to working from rooms down the hall from one another. This is all so very strange. So connected and distant from the world at the same time.
